Lanternbound support

Controls, useful tools, and answers for your next delivery. Lanternbound is a free, offline pixel adventure with three short trails for iPhone.

Controls

Play in landscape, with your iPhone turned sideways.

  • Move: hold the left or right control.
  • Jump: tap the jump control. Hold it for a higher jump, and keep moving to carry the jump forward.
  • Use a tool: tap the equipped tool control. Each trail gives you a different tool.
  • Take a break: use Pause during play.

Movement controls sit at the left edge; your tool and jump controls sit at the right edge.

Finishing a trail

Collect at least three light shards and reach the mail gate. The forge also needs all three switches to be lit.

  • Forest: light the lantern to make hidden bridges solid.
  • Forge: throw the boomerang to activate all three switches. Watch its returning path, too.
  • Ruins: use the hourglass to quiet pulse traps and stop enemies for four seconds.

Activate checkpoints along the way so you can retry nearby after a fall. Completed trails can be replayed for more shards, better times, and badges.

Gate still closed? Check your shard count. In the forge, make sure every switch has been activated.

Music, sound, and haptics

Open Settings to adjust music, sound effects, and haptics separately.

If you cannot hear the game, check its music and sound-effect settings, your iPhone’s media volume and silent-mode state, and whether audio is going to connected headphones or another device. Return to the game after changing these settings.

If a setting does not behave as expected, tell us your iPhone model and iOS version so we can investigate.

Progress and saves

Progress, personal bests, earned badges, and game settings are stored on your device. Lanternbound does not require an account or provide its own cloud-save service.

Deleting the app removes local game data from that installation. Any copies in device backups are controlled by your Apple backup settings.

If you are troubleshooting a problem and want to keep your progress, contact support before deleting the app.

  • What happened, and what you expected instead.

A screenshot is optional. Please do not send passwords or unnecessary personal information.
